What do you do at 4Sight?
As head of Technical Services I span the business looking at all things technical.
From solution evaluation, adoption, through sales support and on to solution delivery and support. I am actively engaged across the entire business to ensure our product set is the right ﬁt, not only for 4Sight as a business, but most importantly our customers and their requirements.
What kind of experience do you have?
Since leaving school having completed work experience with BT I became fascinated with all things relating to telecommunications. I spent 2 years at technical college gaining formal qualiﬁcation and upon completion went onto work for leading blue-chip communications companies such as BT, RACAL, Phillip’s Business Communications, Siemens and Mitel. The last several years have been spent at multi award winning Echo Communications and then Alternative Networks (via acquisition of Echo). During this time I helped drive Mitel sales through design consultancy resulting in increased sales. This in turn led to a growth of the presales team from just myself to seven highly skilled, motivated individuals, where I assumed the role of head of department.
Where would you rather be (if not working)?
As with most people, spending more time with family is the obvious answer, but as a self-confessed petrol head, I would love to be travelling the world attending Formula 1 Grand Prix’s. Fast cars utilising cutting edge and ever evolving technologies all combined with global travel, ﬁne food and drink.
Tell us something that you do really well?
Listening, understanding, evaluating and designing, all of which are key elements of my role. With a strong customer focus and an analytical mind, I have spent the past 10 years understanding my customers and their business issues/challenges/requirements in order to propose and design appropriate solutions.
